Complete Acting Review: Patrick McLaughlin

Yay Rick! I FINALLY am going to take the time to type this. Okay. Since you don't have many videos that are actual audition videos, this will be shorter than Sarah's.

Video 1: I would say try to feel the emotion versus just trying to convey it. Try to really put yourself in Iggy's position then your emotions will just flow really well, and it won't seem scripted. So yes. It sounded slightly scripted, but not too bad. More facial expressions and expression in your voice would have been greatly appreciated, but it was fine without it too :)

Video 2: This was REALLY good. Like I really like it. The one thing I have to say is that your whole "They didn't mind the wings..." line, you should try to sound more upset. At least in my opinion.

Video 3: I would say more facial expressions. And that you should try to add some pauses to increase the intensity of what you're saying. For example "Max. They're out there. And they're trying to kill us." could have been completely altered if you would have put a pause in there. I understand that it's a trailer though, so you're going to try to cram as many lines in a little amount of time.

Overall, I think the main reason why, in my mind, you're not the 100% best Iggy on the site, isn't really your acting ability, much as it's how you look and your voice. I understand that we're not supposed to vote based on looks, but I pictured Iggy how it's written for him to look--blonde, and I think because your voice hasn't changed, that also effects how I view you in comparison to the other finalists. You TOTALLY deserve to be in the top 5 though, and I totally understand that you really can't control things like your hair color or your voice not being lower. That's just what I think, and PLEASE don't take it personally. :)
